Education
Elisabeth started a residency in internal medicine at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in Merelbeke (UGent) in 2021.
Her mother tongue is German and she has a good knowledge of English. Elisabeth has been taking a Dutch language course for some time.
Research
As part of her residency, Elisabeth's research is mainly focused on the early diagnosis of acute kidney injury (AKI) in critically ill patients. Early diagnosis of AKI would mean that appropriate treatment could also be initiated much earlier.
