Tea graduated from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Zagreb (Croatia) in 2019. She then started a rotating 'internship' at the same university, which she successfully completed in 2020. She started working in the Department of Internal Medicine as a teaching assistant. She also started a Ph.D. programme at the University of Zagreb in 2021. From 2020-2023, her main duties were working as a small animal veterinarian and supervising students' practicals. Since September 2023, Tea started a 'residency' in internal medicine at the Small Animal Clinic in Merelbeke (UGent).

Her mother language is Croatian and she also has a good knowledge of English.
